Connected law enforcement device design
Axon
A body camera, an in-car camera and a conducted energy weapon serve different moments in an officer’s day. Their value grows when they work together. Huge Design collaborated with Axon on Body 3, Fleet 3 and TASER 7, shaping the physical devices that connect field activity to a shared evidence workflow. Our work brought user research, UX, brand strategy and industrial design to equipment that must remain clear and usable under pressure. Axon’s broader ecosystem extends that connected foundation with AI-assisted evidence and reporting tools.

One ecosystem, from capture to review
Connected in the field. Intelligent in the workflow.
Axon Signal can activate compatible body-worn and in-car cameras when configured events occur, including TASER activity. Body 3 adds LTE-enabled location, alerts and live streaming, while Fleet 3 brings vehicle video and automatic license plate recognition into the connected ecosystem. Axon Evidence provides the shared digital evidence environment. In the broader software workflow, tools such as Draft One use body-camera audio to create an AI-generated report draft that an officer reviews, edits and approves. The intelligence sits across the ecosystem, with features dependent on an agency’s equipment, configuration and software subscriptions.

A connected camera designed around the officer
Axon Body 3
Huge worked with Axon engineering and marketing teams and drew on voice-of-customer research to evolve Body 2’s user experience and industrial design into Body 3. The design supports a more capable wearable device while keeping its operation familiar. Within Axon’s ecosystem, LTE connectivity supports live locations, alerts and streaming, connecting the officer’s perspective to support beyond the scene.

Connected awareness from the patrol vehicle
Axon Fleet 3
Huge collaborated with Axon to miniaturize and package the in-car camera system for reliable installation. Fleet 3 combines vehicle video with automatic license plate recognition and real-time awareness features. The industrial design resolves the physical demands of camera placement and integration, giving the vehicle a role in the same connected workflow as the officer’s wearable equipment.

A recognizable identity, with deliberate ergonomics
TASER 7 conducted energy weapon
Huge helped establish a fresh product identity for TASER 7, translating Axon’s brand into a more sophisticated industrial design while addressing grip and holstering. Its connection to Axon Signal links configured weapon events with camera recording. That relationship makes the CEW part of the evidence ecosystem alongside Body 3 and Fleet 3.
